person with a lot of medicine and a headache

What is a Comprehensive Health Review?

Our pharmacist will meet with you 1-on-1 to perform an in-depth review of your medication and supplement regimen, identifying potential risks or benefits, such as interactions and potential side effects. We will also discuss ways to improve health and well-being using pillars of lifestyle medicine which include a whole-food, plant predominant eating pattern, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, and positive social connections. Following the process, our pharmacist will provide a carefully considered set of recommendations.

At the time of your CHR, we highly recommend the following:

  • InBody – Body composition analysis machine which measures your muscle mass, fat mass, and overall body composition.
  • Wellness Snapshot – Nutrient test that measures your vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate, insulin, A1c, hs-CRP (inflammatory marker), magnesium, calcium, homocysteine, ApoB and ferritin levels.
  • Cholesterol Testing – Measures your lipids (LDL, HDL, Triglycerides and total cholesterol) and fasting blood glucose.
  • Gene Testing – This test allows you to learn which prescription medications and what dose might work best for you.
Powell Pharmacy’s CHR approach enables us to see beyond your prescriptions so we can help you resolve your health challenges.
